This volunteer program at the animal shelter was absolutely awesome! 🐾 From day one, everything felt super smooth — they even picked me up from the airport in a school taxi, which made arriving so easy. The Spanish course was a total game changer; it helped me connect better with everyone and made the whole experience even richer. The cultural activities were super fun too — such a cool way to get to know the local vibe and meet new people. Yeah, the shelter was a bit far from the city center, but honestly, that makes sense (you can’t exactly have a bunch of rescued animals downtown 😂). And it was totally worth the trip every time. The people — especially Antxon, Rodrigo, and Jose — were incredibly kind. I learned so much about animal care, teamwork, and Spanish, and I left feeling inspired and grateful. Highly recommend it if you’re up for an unforgettable adventure! 🌟

Excellent course. The teacher Magdalena was incredible. She makes learning fun and is an excellent teacher. I learned a lot. Overall really great experience, thank you. I would definitely recommend instituto Hemingway.

Volunteering for beach cleanups was an unforgettable experience. The people I met were fantastic, and the apartments were great—comfortable and close to everything. I loved how easy it was to explore the area and enjoy all kinds of cultural activities in my free time. The best part was knowing that my work made a real difference for the environment. Collecting waste and helping to keep the beaches clean was incredibly rewarding. On top of that, my Spanish improved so much thanks to the morning classes included in the program. I highly recommend this experience to anyone looking for meaningful volunteer work and cultural immersion. I’d do it again in a heartbeat!
