Online Chinese Learning 1-on-1 - That’s Mandarin

I have been studying at That’s Mandarin in Beijing for around 9 months and I am pleased woth my progress. The teacher is patient and considerate to my level of Mandarin whilst pushing me to strive for the next level. They are always receptive to tailoring cøassed based on what you wish to focus so just ask. The online supporting tools are great to use and really help to lock in what we went over during the class. Administration are tentative and very quick to answer questions. Rearranging classes due to other commitments is also very easy in the app. I look forward to continuing this year and next until my China adventure comes to an end!

I landed at That’s Mandarin’s Hangzhou campus in March barely able to order bubble tea without slipping into English. Eight weeks later, I stood in front of a roomful of investors and delivered an entire product-pitch meeting in Mandarin—hand-drawn idioms and all. Every morning the teachers pulled the freshest slang straight from Douyin, and every afternoon the Nihao cafe platform told me exactly which tones I was still murdering. I really learned so much from That's mandarin Hangzhou with great experience, I think I will come back.

Beyond just grammar and vocabulary, I learned about the cultural nuances behind the language, which made everything click. I started from barely knowing a word and now I can confidently hold conversations. It was a challenging yet immensely fulfilling journey.
