Study Abroad at Curtin University

I had a great time at Curtin! It is a beautiful campus with wonderful people all around. I did have troubles here and there, but that will always happen; the curtin staff tried to be helpful every step of the way. The course load isn't bad at all if you stay on top of it, which then gives you enough time to go on little adventures around Perth. I would highly recommend trying to meet as many people as you can and going out with them to places. Ask people who live around the area for recommendations. I would also plan to do a vacation after the semester is over to explore more of Perth and Australia. I had a phenomenal experience, and I would definitely go back and do it all over again if I could.

My semester abroad at Curtin University was absolutely incredible! I had so much fun and was incredibly grateful for the opportunity, especially because I had so many people to support me and help me get through my struggles. The GoGlobal team, Unilodge, Kurrajong Villiage, and the wonderful students at Curtin University did not hesitate to answer all my questions, and I am forever grateful for their support through this academic journey. O-week was also amazing!!! I met so many people, joined many cubs and got so much free stuff! I loved my time at Curtin and am forever grateful for this wonderful opportunity.

If you had asked me 6 months ago why I chose Australia and, above all, Perth, I couldn't have given you a response. To be honest, I still don't quite know why I made this decision, but now I can tell you with confidence that it was exactly what I needed. Indeed, it was the most intense 5 months of my life, filled with some lifelong memories and relationships. Most of my friends were foreign students whom I met through the multiple bonding activities organised mostly by the FBL committee and the GUILD, or simply through classes. Talking about classes, I'm thankful to all of the teachers I had during the semester, who were the most understanding and helpful people I've ever met in my course. There was never a time when I felt awkward or less than by asking a question or a request to one of them. So to sum up, I don't know exactly what made me choose Curtin over another exchange Uni, yet it was the best decision of my life, and I will forever be grateful to Curtin and Perth for those 5 months. xx
