Internships in Morocco

My name is Sarah Kabalka. I am a board certified American Association of Nurse Practitioners. I have been a nurse since 2000. I graduated with my MSN in Family Practice in 2013. I have extensive experience in emergency medicine, family practice, interventional pain, and was previously an internationally certified Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner for about 7 years. I have done three volunteer trips lastlly in 2022 with IMR International Medical Relief in Warsaw about 2 w-3 weeks after the war began working in a Ukrainian refugee camp. I then worked in Uganda, and Rwanda. I speak English Fluently. Currently I own practice a medical spa and concierge medicine modalities available.

One of the things I enjoyed most about the remote Legal Support for Human Rights Advocacy internship (hosted out of Tanzania) was the opportunity to engage directly with local communities and witness the real-world impact of what we discussed and learned about. Being immersed in a different culture challenged me to adapt quickly, think critically, and approach problems with empathy and creativity. Professionally, it deepened my interest in global policy and grassroots organizing, while personally, it helped me grow more confident, independent, and open-minded. The experience gave me a clearer sense of purpose and direction in terms of the kind of work I want to pursue in the future. I really appreciated the guidance and support I received. Communication was clear and timely, and I felt that any questions or concerns I had were taken seriously. The team was approachable, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in helping me succeed.
